Jason Davis was born and raised to be a trained assassin. His father saw his gift at an early age and sent him to be trained by the Navy Seals. Jason became that and more for his brother Jordan who has taken his father’s place as a member of a clan called the Stand. But the killer that Jason became, is the killer that no one can control. Not even his family.
At the age of twenty-four, Jason was one of the most feared assassins around the country. He has been using his connects to find whoever his older brother Jordan wanted him to kill. He did them without questioning Jordan’s motives. What Jordan didn’t know, was that Jason was becoming inhuman with every kill. He started killing for the pleasure of it. And the woman that used to keep him from going over, was no longer able to do that. Until Joel.
Joel’s sass-talking, soul food cooking, and southern mentality, puts Jason in his place every time. She is not afraid to speak her mind and it has Jason on pause. He begins to feel an emotion that he isn’t used to feeling towards someone that isn’t family. He opens up and thinks that he can be happy for once. He takes a step out of the darkness and into the light. But, Joel’s true test comes when Jason was hit with betrayal.
Jordan Davis is the oldest brother, who craves power. He sees his family above all and when there is a chance for him to put them on top, he uses his brother unique skills and some other assassins called the Elite, to get them there. He has been moving in silence and left his family in the dark. When his plans come out, it puts them in danger and sets Jason off.
Jordan’s greed for power causes a tragic loss which push Jason over into the hell that he has crawled out of. Jason believed that if he was the man that his brother and father wanted him to be, they wouldn’t be in the mess they are in right now. His whole life he has been an assassin for the family and when they need him the most he turned his back on them, for her. Jason tries to redeem his self and go on a killing spree.
The Stand holds a meeting to discuss some of the things that has been happening, but is interrupted by the Elites. No one has survived an attack from any of these assassins. With all three in attendance, including the founder of this group, it looks like it was going to be the end of the Stand, along with the Davis crew.

Now that everyone knew who she was, Joel was ready to cash in on the threats from the Davis men.
She has been killing people since she was six. Her Godfather trained her mind, body, and soul. She knew that this was something she wanted to do but wanted more out of life. When she felt that it was getting too much, she took a trip up North and that was where she met Jason. When he dismissed her, it took everything in her to walk out. Tyja and Lily had to remind her of that.
Joel has been raising their kids with her brothers and fathers for five, almost six years. They had been asking for their father more and more. When her brothers called her and told her that assassins were sent to kill her children. She knew that she had to reveal who she was and the reason for her being there.
Jason just found out that, the woman that found her way to his heart, is the most ruthless killer of the Elites. Gage. He was livid and shocked at the same time. He didn’t care that she and the other Elites were there to kill them. He was trying to understand why she lied and held their children from him. When he approached her to asked her these questions, he caught his self, attacking her and ending up on the ground barely breathing. He thought that he was never going to get the answers that he needed from Joel. He didn’t know how he was going to get in contact with her or knew anyone with information on her. So, he thought.
Jordan didn’t know how to act when he found out that Lily knew about Joel and the children. He noticed the changed in her and thought it was because of her hanging out with his mom and auntie. He would have never thought it was because of Joel and Tyja. Lily explains to Jordan his role on Jason missing out on his family. He didn’t believe it until he sat down and thought about it. He wanted to make things right with his brother. He called up Joel and asked her for a favor.
The favor was something that Joel overprotective brothers didn’t agree with. They didn’t want the children to get hurt by Jason and his bipolar ways. Joel trusted that she was doing the right thing and brought them over there. Everything went as well to be expected, until the fight broke out and had everyone bleeding and hurting. Everyone except Joel.
Jason knew that he messed up and had to get things right with Joel. Not only for his children, but for his self as well. He clipped off any involvement he had with other women to that. One woman in particular was Sierra Williams. She was the Princess of an empire on the west. Her father and brothers thought it would be good to merge with the Davis crew. Sierra was trying her hardest to break through Jason’s barrier but found herself on the other side of it. When she tried to confront him in front of Joel and his children, she threatens to send her brothers and father his way. Jason welcomed it and went on with his days not worrying about Sierra empty threats.
Sierra set her plans in motion. Ms. Joyce and Jason’s kids were kidnapped and ready to get tortured by Jason’s old enemy. Joel and Jason worked together with their family to get them back safe. Will they get there in time to save their children or will Sierra get what she wants from her ex-lover. A life, for a life.
